GTA VI preload and launch: two dates, two different actions

Take-Two's June 24 announcement sets November 12 for preload and November 19 for release. It says boxed copies carry a download code and become available a week before launch to support downloading. A preload entitlement is not early access to the game.

A practical launch checklist

• Open the correct console account and check that the purchase appears in its library.
• Keep the receipt and redemption confirmation somewhere you can find them.
• When the download becomes available, read the actual storage requirement before deleting games.
• Confirm the unlock time in your own regional store and console library.
• Check the download finishes; reserving a preorder does not by itself prove the files are installed.

Download size, available free space and network speed are separate checks. An estimated size from a social post is not a substitute for the platform's actual requirement. Recheck the listing near preload, since scheduling and delivery details can change.
